On the SoCal map: http://www.scecdc.scec.org/recenteqs/ that line of seismicity between the San Andreas and the Elsinore faults is the San Jacinto Fault. http://www.scecdc.scec.org/faultmap.html The nest of activity on top of the yellow square is the tapering activity of the Big Bear swarm. http://www.trinet.org/eqreports/lastmonth/23February03-101033.html The blob of quakes south of the Salton sea looks like a swarm near Brawley. And the activity inland from the Big Bear swarm may the the continuing aftershocks of Landers and Hector Mines. http://www.scecdc.scec.org/clickmap.html Why they are all active this week is a mystery to me.
