The complaint about geoF scoring is that most earthquakes in likely places are nearly automatic hits because of the generous fraction of space-time filled by the of the thousands of prediction per year.

A friend I greatly respect told me yesterday that the
most simple-minded scheme he constructed generated a score of .75, but geoF is only claiming to average .83,
so that's not much of an accomplishment.
