Agree, note that the Hayward fault has kicked off some minor ones from Berkeley to San Leandro lately. Logic would say that stress is relieved in this area,but as you say, transferred elsewhere. Yes, we have the supplies, gas grill kept full of gas, alternate phone numbers, and child drilled in what to do. Important to note that the pre-school only drilled the children ONCE A YEAR! I found out when I was going over with my son about what to do in an earthquake, when I asked "if you're at school, what do you do? He said " I don't know." One good note is that he has a special "emergency bag" which they encourage all parents to provide. Basically extra clothes, food, flashlight for each child, and pictures of happy times. Good that they encouraged the "emergency bag", bad that they didn't perform earthquake drills. I encouraged them to do that.. Going this weekend for the cabinet fasteners and furniture cable.
