I would be willing to bet that the balance problems you mentioned were in fact linked with that approaching January 16 swarm of Oregon area earthquakes. One indicator would be the fact that your notes were posted on January 9 and the earthquakes occurred one week later. My data indicate to me that there are often time delays of multiples of about 7 days between when the warning signals are detected and when the earthquakes occur.
