Maybe if you alert the "make a mountain from a mole-hill" reporter in the case cited below (MI 0.8 as a precursor to a blow) then everybody will think that half of the mountain is ready to fall on the road.

Maybe then the highway dept. will pre-emptively block the roads and initiate a land-slide (by various methods) to nullify the threat.
