Unfortunately, Jim Berkland is not in the "Dr." status either. His wife wanted to go back to college and get her degree, so Jim took care of their children and never got back to school to get his PhD.

He has been a retired geologist for a number of years, but may be more active in retirement than when he was working. He is indeed a very busy person.
