I believe that the area around Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms may see the creation of a new volcano. Specifically since one of the posts in this thread mentions a crack which may have changed the pressure point from the Long Valley Caldera. There has been an average of 300 to 1000 earthquakes per week in a 1 degree or less area for several weeks. The area mentioned was very inactive until the 7.1 quake. It won't stop now.
Another thing is that the majority of activity in California is now in the south or along the coast.
