Good points.

If the FFA concept has been around for awhile and has been tested then it seems that it must not have been judged to be reliable enough for prediction purposes (or else maybe Wyss never heard of it ?).

I think the Self Organizing Criticality idea has probably stopped many from further pursuit in the prediction area...though not all (like the Japanese).

Guess we'll have to sit back and just see what shakes.
