Hey Kiddo. You got your quake in the Hollister area. Or should I say I got your quake in the Hollister area. It occurred on the Quien Sabe fault. That is about 6 miles east of Hollister. I didn’t feel it, but my desk lamp recorded it.

The strongest recorded quake was a 5.5Ml on 01/26/1986. There was a 5.0Ml on 02/20/1988. I had no problem in feeling both of those quakes.

Now there is the question of creep at the SJB data. I can’t see how a quake on the Quien Sabe fault can account for the acceleration in creep on the San Andreas fault. You do have more then one ear tone for this area so there may still be more to come. Take Care…Don the really nervous one now
