Hi All,

From my personal contacts in Parkfield I learned no one in the town of Parkfield felt this earthquake. But some outside of town did and reported it was a rolling sensation.

This is totally opposite of what occurred in 1999. The reports from 3 Canadians was far more interesting. They were in Parkfield for boar hunting. The wife of one of the men was in her room in the Inn and said it sounded like a freight train coming and the whole Inn shook like crazy. Meanwhile, the men were in the river bed in their jeep. At first they noticed the trees starting to shake and then their jeep was moving so violently they jumped out thinking it was going to turn over. Though they were accustomed to earthquakes in Canada, they said they never felt anything as strong as that 4.2.

So it appears the energy on this one went other than southeast.

No, I can't pack a bag for Parkfield, but if I could have, I would already be there. LOL
