Hi Lowell, Don & All, Could the weather also bring an element into this situation? There is a powerful weather storm headed toward California and is expected to bring with it unusually high tides. As we all know tidal forces to play some roles in earthquake activity and I'm wondering if this pre-storm situation may be adding to the mix. And if not now, it may within a few days. I am really looking forward to the AGU event this year and I would just love it if we could have some kind of a "felt" earthquake during the convention. No one more than me could wish to see a room full of people who haven't got a clue about what to do during an earthquake and see their reactions. This would be a very memorable event. But geez, with my luck, the odds must be a million to one that it can't happen. They should all know they are most likely in the safest place on the planet. There are never earthquakes where I travel. If there's anyone out there going to an earthquake prone area and wants a lucky charm to take with them, give me a jingle and I'll see what I can fit into my schedule. LOL So far, high and dry, but oh well, the news may be full of flooding stories in the next 72 hours. Oh joy. I'm no good at preventing flooding. Petra
