It is also interesting to note, that in 1964, the Sumatera earthquake (very near yesterday's)
occurred not before the Alaska event, as it did this year, but on April 2, 1964 with Mw 7.0 in about the same location as yesterdays and that a Mw 7.2 occurred three weeks later in Irian Jaya about the same location as the Mw 7.5 in Irian Jaya on October 10 this year - a pattern which reverses this years.
