The Italy earthquake is now listed as Mb 5.9, one of the strongest in southern Italy in some time. Several days ago I noted that Italy was anti-solar at the time of the strong geomagnetic storm initiation (in regard to the Etna eruption) of October 24-25 and that maximum effects often follow 4-6 days later. Since today is 6 days later, and Italy was a location noted in that posting, the solar flare may be considered a possible trigger for this event.
