Re: Earthquake forecasting projects |
On May 27, 1998 I posted a note to the sci.geo.earthquakes Internet Newsgroup advising people that I was watching for an earthquake to occur in either Iran or Afghanistan by May 30, 1998. And on May 30 one in Afghanistan reportedly claimed some 5000 lives. That was a warning which was circulated in a very public location days before the earthquake occurred. And I believe that it was probably seen by people around the world. You should really not need any more proof than that. Also, remember that that forecast was made long before I had developed the far more advanced procedures which I am presently using to determine earthquake locations.
