Don't feel too bad. The strainmeter at Pinyon Flats has been broken for weeks too. Dr. Lucy Jones herself told me, when I showed her graphs of wild looking data. I guess the USGS is short of funds for replacing equipment now. I wish the strainmeters were working however, since I have seen movement before some of the small magnitude Anza quakes, and once I predicted a small quake based upon what I saw and 12 hours later a quake happened.

P.S. Why is Hollister called Creepy Town? Isn't San Juan Batista the creeping place? or the winery? I bet the mayor of Hollister won't want it to be known as "Creepy Town" (laugh)
