Well... here are two "unusual" ones....

3.5 2002/09/17 15:45:14 32.623 -104.498 5.0 34 km ( 21 mi) NW of Carlsbad, NM

Dunno if Lowell would have made a claim on these as a result of one of the theories he was discussing in the past. (I believe he used a S. CA M3.x in his example. BTW, there was an M3.6 in S. Ca recently...)

In any case, a large number of cases would need to be looked at and a statistical treatment would be needed to say one way or the other...whether any effect is considered "non-random"....
