I don't know if Java has the same problems with math as javascript, but if it does, I wouldn't attempt to do any serious math with it. From what I've seen, granted it was a quick internet search, I didn't see that Truebasic interfaces well with or at all with databases, I wouldn't call it a scripting language, as in like the unix shell scripting language, it's far It's closer to C than to a shell. In it's infancy PERL wasn't as powerful, however, today, It rivals most languages out there. Since most web sites use PERL for their cgi's Almost any language can be made to work, otherwise there would only be one language. Since we really don't know what tasks were required of the software, it makes it more difficult to chose the most appropriate method.
