In case there is any confusion on this, when I said that this one area of earthquake forecasting technology has matured I was not referring to my own forecasting program. That has actually happened. However what I was saying is that I believe that if they were to develop a certain type of computer program governments around the world might be able to fairly easily forecast their own earthquakes. The rest of us could then stop trying to forecast them.

To me this is the most unusual looking situation. It represents a fairly large and important area of science. And it should be quite interesting to geophysicists. Yet there appear to be few people if any who are doing any research in this area.
