Chris; That's right. The probability I gave is the odds on a quake being in the bands. The number you gave is the average number of quakes per day in the bands. Similarly we can say that 14904/3652 = 4.1 quakes per day globally or 20.5 in 5 days. This assumes a uniform distribution which we know isn't true....
