2 cents-I basically agree with your comments about statistics-but still would want to see something visual-it might be some kind of graph. And, we would not just choose a couple of earthquakes-we would look at all the M7+s in a year, or a couple of years....or, all the 7.5+

Check whether the FFA rings are 360/n + the 103 deg shadow zone-n being a small integer. This is what Lowell was looking at a decade ago or so. I'm assuming that is in his thesis, which I have read-so is fair game to pass along. It has to do with the free oscillations of the earth (Lowell-was that fair or should I be more careful passing your ideas along....)?
