With all of the recent seismic activity in and around Mexico I was expecting Popo to resume its normal active status and this is currently occurring.

Last night Don made an observation of red hot lava coming out of the top and it also had a bright steam eruption in progress.

Tonight the steam eruption is in progress and "Baby Popo" which is seen at the lower left hand side of the screen clearly displayed its two vents. They resemble the V configuration when it is not burning extremely hot. Most often you will see it as a singular bright round spot, but from time to time you can catch the sight of two separate vents in operation.

So go have a look. Its a beautifully clear night in Mexico and great for volcano watching.
