All communications - e-mail or otherwise - are completely privileged. The only exception is where the client expresses that they are going to kill someone or otherwise inflict great bodily harm upon someone. Then, there is no privilege.

Communications shared in violation of privilege subject the lawyer to discipline.

Anyway, the best legal action is no legal action.
