Hi Don: Interesting.... For the planet to roll like a basketball with the current model of it's interior would require a Huge amount of energy to overcome the angular momentum (gyroscopic forces) of the planet. Much less energy would be required if just the crust/mantle "slips" relative to the rest of the interior. Either way, we're talking a bad few days for the surface inhabitants. One might suppose that extra-solar gravitional forces might have to be at play for this scenario to play out (like maybe a huge, massive rapidly passing planet from outside the solar system). Clearly, the point of view and data from this article lend support to the "planet X" / Nibiru idea. Kinda redefines a "having a bad day" huh ? Just my .02 worth
