Hi Tony. Petra is a weird lady. Don’t get me wrong. I think she is a very wonderful person, but she’s still weird.

I don’t know of very many people who spray room deodorant on them selves thinking it was cologne or something like that. I’m still trying to figure that one out. She has also glued her fingers together while putting on some fingernails.

Every time we take a field trip she will be scouring the area for rocks. I can’t think of place we haven’t been to that she hasn’t brought home a rock or two. Thank God that most of them are small although I have gotten a hernia or two from carrying a few of them.

Whenever she gets a new idea I know it’s going to require a lot of midnight oil on my part. I have to find all of the material to put it together, but that’s what I’m good at. Just using the training the taxpayers paid for.

I know no one is going to believe this, but this “Who’s doing it” contest was her idea. I had absolutely nothing to do with it. Well almost nothing to do with in. Okay so I had a lot to do with it. Not exactly sure as to how it came about, but believe it started with a book she is writing about a seismologist and his lady friend catching the “Love Wave” A “love wave” is one of the surface waves you feel during an earthquake. Only in the book it wasn’t that kind of “Love Wave” they caught.

We were going over the various different methods of predictions people were making and whom these people are when the idea popped into the head. She told me about the idea of the contest, but couldn’t think of a name for it. She sat there quietly for a few minutes then started laughing. I knew then that she had the name. When she told me the name I knew there was no way I was going to be able to get her to change it. I thought about it for a couple of seconds then started throwing remarks at her and how I though it should start. She added a few of her own and the contest was born.

Mind you now this all started when we were looking for something that was serious in nature. Most of the time her filing system is in good shape, but I’m here to tell you that for the most part it’s a disaster area at this time. I thing it was during this time that she got the idea for the contest. I will have to admit that working with her things are for the most part a sort of a blur as things happen at a very fast pace. We move from one topic to the next until we find the one to work on. Every now and then though one of us will get an idea right in the middle of some serious work that will seem to take on a life of its own. I guess it’s sort of a safety valve. If not we would be at one another’s throats.

She has her way of doing things and I have mine and believe me when I say there are no similarities between the ways. Boy! Let me tell you there are no similarities.

Not on your best day and me on my worst will you ever be able to top me Kiddo. You haven’t got that go for the throat mentality. At least not yet.

I will say this though. You have more compassion in 1mm of your heart then the whole world has in all of its collective hearts. In that respect no one can top you and I do mean no one. Take Care…Cowboy
