Hi Lowell. This pattern for the Bay Area was seen about a week before the moderate quake in Baja. Most of the activity was to take place east of and a little south of San Diego. With all of data that was going to be in the Bay Area there was a chance that there would be enough instability that a 6.0+ quake could be triggered. That was why I made my forecast more as an advisement. Most if not all of the quake were in the 2.0 to 3.0 range with a overlap in time and area for some of the areas. It is this overlap that caused my concern. I don’t remember seeing any quakes in the 2.0 to 3.0 range in the immediate Bay Area, but do know of the quakes outside the immediate Bay Area. The two areas that I’m concerned with are the Daly City area and the Bolinas area. Nothing in the data said there would be a 6.0+ quake, but from the amount of data that was indicated for the Bay Area there was a chance that a 6.0+ could occur. Take Care…Don in creepy town
