Hi Chris & Don, I was doing some researh today on the Mendocino Transform Fault and in reading here and there I saw several references to the Macaama Fault having an influence on the MTJ. So in hinde sight as one looks back over the past 6 months we have to realized there was a lot of movement on the Macaama Fault. Those 4.0 quakes in Ukiah and Willits for instance have an affect on the MJT and don't stand alone without influence. I thought that was pretty interesting. I'm attaching a link to a web site which is for current earthquakes in CA as it names the faults. It makes it a little easier to visualize the connections.
