Petra, First, the M3 and the other larger ones were NOT in the area window-they were not at 34.7, they were at 35.7, according to the USGS map and the NEIC listings. Second, I did not want either a time window or a location window-I wanted a specific time and a specific location. Third, Lowell also had an entry. Although I am not the most concise writer, if you read the contest rules and earlier post carefully, it is clear enough. So, the M3 has not occurred yet, and the contest is still on. You can still win the time part if it occurs in the next few days (if the midpoint of your time range is closer than the correctly-formated entry of Lowell).
And, anyone of the 4 can win the location, even if it is a month until the M3. Chris
