Hi Lowell. I rather doubt that the 1.9M is a foreshock in as much as they have quakes of this size in this area all the time.

However I am a little concerned about the quakes near New Idria and Madera. It’s not so much that they occurred where they did, but that occurred almost at the same time with very little space between them. Both of these quakes are near the Great Valley fault and from what it has had in the way of quake activity in the past it tends to make me a little nervous.

While it is true that two little quakes does not a big one make in the near future it does make one aware of what has happened along that fault in the past. Take Care…Don in creepy town
