A quick and dirty Easter Day contest - kind of an egg hunt
|

I propose a one-day contest. In the past large earthquakes in the region of Chile which has just experienced a Mw 6.5 have been followed by unusually strong felt earthquakes in the Central Plains region of the U.S. and occasionally in California and the western U.S. (see link below for a more thorough discussion). In three of four cases this has occurred three days after the Chile earthquake. That would make the U.S. quake on Easter Sunday - March 31 +/- 1 day. I am soliciting earthquake predictions for this possible upcoming event in the Central or western U.S. for this contest. The rules will be the same as other contests, but the earthquake predicted must occur between 00 UT on March 30 and 23:59 on April 1 to be counted for judging in the contest. Forecasts, however, may be for any time period, but should include the 31st of March. I'll send a large chocolate easter egg to the winner.
