I prefer fixed windows myself. Either you hit it or you don't.

But the near-miss calculation is an aid to people developing a theory. They can see what went wrong and judge what changes need to be made.

The full program output includes a list of all quakes which might somehow fit and I removed those before posting the "best fit" results.

Technically, the contest ends April 11th but I see no chance of anyone else beating Canie's score.
