Hi Kate, as I have said in my notes, during my free time I am running an informal, but fully operational forecasting program for global earthquakes which I believe might occur near populated areas. I feel that it is the responsibility of our governments to prepare people for approaching destructive earthquakes. And I usually send my forecasting data directly to them.

At this time I have no plans to post any detailed information here or at any other public site for a destructive earthquake which I feel might be about to occur somewhere. No one is paying me to provide anyone with that type of information. And in part for that reason I do not feel that I have any obligation to share the details of my forecasts with anyone.

Much of the information which I post here represents progress reports for people around the world who are interested in this subject matter. That includes my personal contacts who visit this bulletin board and who regard what I am saying as being accurate even when I do not offer any proof. If other people posting notes here do not believe some of things that I report, and if they wish to also state that they do not then I do not have any strong objection as long as their comments do not get overly personal etc. I might or might not respond to their comments depending upon how much time is available.

Because of the wording of the information in some of my notes it may sound like I am trying to brag about this or that. This is usually not my intention. What I am doing is providing people who are interested in this subject matter with information regarding the status of my forecasting program and how accurate I believe current forecasts might be etc. I regard this bulletin board as a valuable, centralized, easily accessed resource for circulating those types of data to people around the world.

Finally, if I were to conclude that a destructive earthquake were about to occur somewhere here in the U.S. then I expect that at least some other people would like to know that. And so some time ago I developed a plan for circulating a certain amount of that type of information to the general public. At the moment I do not want to discuss the details of that plan here. I might at some time in the future.
