Hi Roger. I don’t think it would be a waste of time. It will show the area of the forecast that is weak. In my case I already know the weak area, or at least I think I do. That is the magnitude. I know what the answer is, but I don’t know where or how to find it. I know it’s not on the web, or I would have already found it. I do have some partial answer in the creep, dilational and tensor strain data from USGS. I have used it to forecast 7 quakes for the SJB area and 1 for the Parkfield area. None for the rest. I have learned though that the strain build up with the crustal deformation data is not a reliable indicator of the magnitude of the expected quake. Thank You for the complement.
