IMO Don should not go public.

While he has a good track record, I've observed all his predictions are always for the smaller micro quakes. I'm not saying that this dilutes his success or validity, but that isn't exactly sexy for media. From what I read, Don is an intelligent man, he shouldn't go public, no matter how small the medium because even then he will get some stupid question like, "So where exactly will the big one hit!??!" And of course if he is candid and it doesn't work out, the media will drop him immediately.

IMO, I don't think Californians will ever be ready for public prediction, or even care for that matter. I've grown up in California all my life and it is my experience that 95% of the population could care less about quakes, will freak out if a big one hits, and then forget it about it as soon as things are repaired and the aftershocks have died down.
