About the time the Earthquake summary was being posted, an earthquake of Ms 6.4
was reported in the New Britain area. It appears likely that this is one of the events which
was anticipated in that summary as it occurred within 2 hours of the M2.2 solar flare
and within 30 degrees longitude of 180E (the event occurred at 151E).
That earthquake was followed shortly by a Mb 5.0+ in the Western Aleutians at
177W, a longitude which was directly sub-solar at the time of the flare.
