Hi 2 Cents,

Nope. I devoted my time to many efforts, but not the kind where you have a boss that has expectations. I created a new web site, wrote a bit, hung out on the fault lines, read a lot and expanded my consciousness on ear tones.

But now I have to live like regular folks and have a job. But that's ok too. I realized that often one gets creative ideas when working in concert with others. But I also have a lot of homework to do and this Saturday I have to do something I never thought I'd do in my life, go to traffic school. But this one's not to bad, its an all day comedy event.

Life is really a mystery. While we think earthquakes and geo stuff are fascinating, life itself holds far more when we get off the wheel and give ourselves credit for our achievements, recognize our shortcomings and appreciate our companions in this awesome experience, we call a lifetime.

After getting off the wheel for a bit I now feel more focused, ready to face new challenges, see if my skills are as good as they ever were and watch with fascination as my new life unfolds. Its almost springtime in the garden of life.

We haven't had a 7.0 magnitude quake since January 4th. Does that mean this year we'll have fewer 7's than last year? Is this the year when California has one of their long over-due events? Ah, we just have to wait and see, right? I rather am a gambler, so I'd say just as a far field guess, this is the year. What time I don't know, but my sixth sense says this is it.

Do your earthquake preparedness and you'll be ready no matter where you are.

Petra
