I posted this once before . . . before the swarm of quakes out of Simi Valley, I think I witnessed EQ lightning/lights.

It was a freak kind of thing. I was looking from my backyard in Bouquet Canyon south-southeast right to the pass where the 5 freeway passes over to Santa Clarita.

The light was a large blue (real blue) flash. It was like someone turning on and shutting off a light real quick. It was hard to tell if it came from bottom to top or top to bottom. There was no streak of lightninng - like a lightning bolt. Just a big blue ball.

I told my wife right after it happened - not making a connection with anything (i.e. an earthquake). I figured a transformer blew or something. There was absolutely no weather that would have accounted for the flash.

Later that night we had the swarm of quakes - which were approximately 30 to 40 miles to the northwest of where I observed the flash.
