you okay, big guy?

three different doctors have saved my life on three different occasions. they're not perfect, but i'm especially partial to the one who caught my multiple pulmonary emboli (economy class syndrome) after a bunch of other doctors had only seen pneumonia and pleurisy for three excruciating weeks. (had all three plus other diagnoses that made detecting the p.e. very tricky.)

i had multiple clots in both lungs. they gave me less than 12 hours to live when they admitted me. one week later they wheeled me out to the car.

they should have known i'm too ornery to wimp out on life at the tender age of 46.

and if i'd died then, you'd only have petra's ear tones to juggle. so sorry you are having dr. problems, etc. not fun. but they're not all bad.
