Faults in China |
Someone here was mentioning no large fault systems in China when they had a quake a couple weeks ago... I went to a meeting today talking about the tectonics of an area of China and the geomorphology of the Gobi-Tein fault system in Mongolia and China (speaker: Dr. Lewis A. Owen ) There is a large left lateral strike slip fault located about where that quake was. The fault is about the same length as the San Andreas Fault.
