Hi All, After looking at all the large quakes that have occured in the California/Nevada region since 1739, it appears to me that the entire region looks like a crumbling cookie. I've been plotting the data using Rogers IMP program, and the resulting graphs show wide-scale rupturing. Roger is working on a way to get a screen copy of the graphs from his program, so I'll post one to my site as soon as it's available. I agree completely that a large quake in the region has the potential of triggering other large quakes. After all, the pacific plate is trying to shift, and it wont be happy until it does. Stress which is relieved in one area will simply be taken up by the other areas, making the possibility of a related quake far more likely. Billion
