Re: Reedsport, Oregon Earthquake Forecast |
Hi Bob, From my own point of view given my experiences with Indian spirits in Oregon, I have gathered that they would be quite content if we "white american settlers" just didn't come around. I can recall vividly spending a night at a friends house in Medford, OR and every time I closed my eyes I was greeted with a very angry indian face up close and personal. Needless to say it was a night I didn't sleep very much and I felt ill at ease as well. While my other visits weren't quite so dramatic I felt every time I was in a place that belongs to the spirits of the past and felt I was invading their territory. I feel its quite possible that some people are affected by this in unusual ways. I had an Aunt and Uncle who lived in Coos Bay and they had nothing but illness and assorted troubles and moved back to New Mexico. Then another couple had a lot of problems there and got a divorce. One can't say if it is the influence of the past, but you can't say it isn't either. Washington State did not harbor the same kind of spirits. But I did live in a haunted house for about six months that was a block from a nearby cemetery. These two, a man and a woman from the turn of the century were really noisy. It got so bad with them going up and down the stairs and making such a racket that one night I yelled out and told them to keep it down because I couldn't sleep. It worked for awhile. Then another night I saw a boy of about 8 years of age who kept running back and forth between the bedrooms upstairs. I saw him no less than four times in a period of about 30 minutes or less. He seemed lost. As far as I am concerned, I don't think I'd like to ever live in Oregon. Its beautiful, but something else up there, that I can detect says it doesn't want me there and that's ok by me.
