Don had made a forecast for Barstow earlier this month with the following parameters: Barstow, California Earthquake Forecast Posted by Don In Hollister on January 01, 2002 at 14:02:58: F: 08 to 12 JAN 2002 within 40 km of 34.9N 116.4W Ml 3.0-4.0 The following earthquake occurred last night: O: 3.1 07JAN2002 03:22:02 34.5N 116.4W ML=3.1 of Yucca Valley, CA This event occurred slightly more than 40 km from the forecast epicenter, but otherwise was completely successful. Don's Original forecast was # 12334 (below): Magnitude: 3.0-4.0Ml From: 01/08/2002UTC - To: 01/12/2002UTC Location: Barstor, California Lat: 34.9N - Long: 116.4W - Range: 40Km Hi All. Not sure if you would want to call this an aftershock, or just a plain old quake, but anyway I’m looking for one a 3.0 to 4.0 at 34.9N/116.4W. This is about 40Km East of Barstow, California. Should occur on 01/10/2002. The window opens on 01/08/2002 and will close on 01/12/2002. The radius on this will be 40Km. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
