Does anyone have an actual copy of the paper published in the Journal Nature or a link? A small AP report on findings doesn't mean much - I've seen AP reporters slaughter and misquote many a theory... I'm sure there's much more to it... it would have been either January 29, 1998 volume The articel is titled: Oceanic signals in observed motions of the Earth's pole of rotation It starts out: SUMMARY: Motion of the Earth's pole of rotation relative to its crust, commonly referred to as polar motion, can be excited by a variety of... but I can't get the rest of the text without signing up... Now without seeing the entire study I can't make out too much from 'the oceans are pushing the earth around' - it sure sounds out of context to me....
