Eartones |
Bob, well said-I second this. I don't know why eartones should be related to earthquakes. It is easy to say that one hears an eartone, and then there is an earthquake, but for many people eartones are common, and so are M3 or 4 EQs. We talked about this over the holidays (one M.D., but no other scientist (at least you have my interest). We had 5 people in the room and all hear eartones at one time or another. So, I don't know about this eartone-sensitive business. The M.D. suggested that they were multifactorial. This word has 6 syllables, so I don't know what it means, but if eartones are caused by many different things (tornados, xray flux, earthquakes, and medical problems having no link to external, with 5% being related to earthquakes), then is there a useable earthquake signal? The 4.2 on the San Jacinto may be the largest there in a while.
