I think I really need a couple of Physics classes before I can jump into this... But it does seem to me tho have some relation between the quake and solar activity... I just don't have the scientific background to judge either way.

Lowell's PHD idea is a good one - I've got at least 3 years before I could get there though... One step at a time...
