thanks, canie. interesting notion that you can feel the vertigo but not the quakes. i'll pay more attention to the times. nearly impossible to do so on huge family-reunion-type vacation where practically every hour had some sort of scheduled activity.

now i need a vacation!

yes, it is quite possible i was feeling aftershocks. in the past, however, these episodes of vertigo have always signaled impending earthquakes. now, it is quite possible that this episode began while we were traveling.

i still can't believe i didn't feel the 4.7, considering how close we were to the epicenter.

here's to an uneventful new year. i could use one of those. :-)
