Actually the word seismograph may be the delusion. The same drum is used right? Darn I hate to do all this research..It might make me learn something and that is scary. OK..Lets see if we can get this straight. I want to talk about Richter and his machine and how to read it.In dif locations. Are all machines the same...No! So which machine is based on which principal??? Can a machine designed for a different principle adapt using an equation for another principle? The site mentioned does not give that data...You know...this is going to make me go to my guru Andy Michaels...or Dick Stead... and that could take days...and besides they don't understand it either! Really!The M of a quake is so elusive it could boggle a duck. It reminds me of a time I asked for a weather report here in the wilderness..the 85 year old resident game tracker told me "There are two types of people who predict the weather...newcomers and fools."
