BTW, this is OT but are you off the power grid? What type of equipment are you using now...(I read part of your story which identified some of your equipment...but then got sidetracked...). Have there been advances in DC-AC inverters ? What about batteries (LI)? I'm thinking about reducing my power bill using some solar panels....
