I just received a nice e-mail letter from government officials of the country that I contacted about that possible northern South America earthquake. They said that they appreciated the effort and provided me with some information regarding scientists in their country whom I should attempt to contact in the future.

Quite a while ago I also received a nice written letter along those lines from the personal secretary to the president of that country.

This shows that there are actually people out there who are interested in learning about earthquake forecasts. And as I stated in another note posted to this board, "Diplomacy" is important to these types of efforts.
