Hi All, Today while I should feel buoyant about having an ear tone match for the Ukiah quake of last night, I feel anything but. Instead I see the challenges ahead in asking people to have an open mind in regard to ear tones being a precursor to earthquakes. While my intentions are in keeping with the regular board members here, in that I do wish to see the day when earthquake prediction on a public level arrives and hope some lives can be saved in the process, sometimes good intentions are not nearly enough. But, I must ask; How is it possible to open a closed door? Science is basically a method to solve puzzles, but if one does not wish to solve a puzzle and refuses to look at the data with an open mind, then progress is still a long way off. I would like to ask those board members and readers who are not familiar with ear tones, to leave the door open, watch as time passes and then make an informed opinion. Your generosity in this area would be appreciated. This quake along with the 4.1 that occurred on 12/7 gives me considerable concern. This area is not prone to these types of quakes and two in the 4 magnitude range within a week is not a good sign. Petra
