Amen. I gave up tinsel about 8 years ago. So far my cats haven't tried to climb the tree, but in the past they have almost made me think things would be alright, only to be awakened in the night to the sound of the tree falling over. This year, I bought a ten foot tree and hopefully that sucker is strong enough to withstand two pretty good sized cats. They each weigh 11 1/2 pounds.
